Pins

We thought we had everything sorted with just taking hand luggage but my youngest just brought her pins and it's made me panic that they might not allow these to be taken on the plane in hand luggage. Cananyone else confirm if this is the case? I thought you couldn't take sharp items on but looking at the prohibited items on the air france site I can't find anything that really describes pins.

I'm worried we'll get to the airport and they'll be made to throw them away

I always take my DD's pins and lanyard in our hand luggage .
Put them in a clear plastic bag so that security at the airport can clearly see what they are, and you'll be absolutely fine.
