Finally, today I bought a Mickey pin and put it on my camera strap. It's really nice....

Damn, I want more and they are expensive!!!!

I hate you!!! :rotfl2:

Be sure and ask for extra backs. I cannot understand how those folks wear pounds and pounds of pins and not lose them:confused3 DS and DD tried one year and about twice a day we had to go on a "pin hunt". Luckily it happened while we were in line somewhere; but I banned pin lanyard wearing after that. I guess we're too active or something.

A couple of tips on this.

1) You can buy the locking backs that use a small allen wrench to apply. These do not come off, but if overtightened will damage the pin. They are also pretty expensive.

2) Tear off a small piece of tissue (tp or kleenex) and wrap it around the pin, next insert it into the backing. It will create more friction between the pin and the plastic backing. This holds very tight, but will stretch the back and if you like to change your pins alot, eventually you will have to replace it.

3) NOTE: Not for faint of heart! Put the pin through your lanyard, then before attaching the back apply a very TINY dot of superglue on the end of the pin. Before it dries attach the back. To get the back off, you just need to provide a sharp twist and the backing will come off. Just use an exacto knife to clean up any glue and/or backing still on the pin. The issue with this is that it is critical you use a TINY dot of superglue. Too much, and you will be using that exacto to trim the backing off the pin...not impossible, but if it is a small pin...well...have a bandaid ready.

All three of these work, and I personally use #3 for attaching pins to my lanyard, as these are pins that I don't trade. I have a binder that I carry with me with all my trading pins (200+ and growing).

Pins are addicting...just like everything else Disney :)

Lots of cool websites out there too with pins...if you'd like those drop me a PM and I'll send you some links.
