pins carry on of checked luggage??

Hi we are leaving in a few hours . The boys have packed their carry-on and put the trading pins with lanyards in their backpacks. I'm not sure, are those OK to bring as a carry on or should I try to squeeze them in the checked luggage. Any thoughts? Thanks

I packed mine in my carry on. I did this because it had my annual pass in the lanyard pocket and I didn't want that out of my control. Anyhow, I didn't have any problems with lanyard and pins in my carry on. Have a great trip!

We take ours as carry ons too, so that my kids can wear them to the parks if they want to right away! Have a great trip. Its going to be a beautiful week in Orlando...Im sooo jealous

OP--If you haven't left yet, pack those pins in a plastic baggie. That way if any of them come loose, or lose their back, you won't lose the pin.

Also, you should never put the pins into checked bags. Way too tempting for someone to steal and sell on line.

Of all the valuable and tempting items people put in their checked bags, I would imagine that Disney pins are way at the bottom of the list.

Why? A lanyard of pins can be worth a couple hundred bucks, easy. They are impossible to trace, and very easy to sell on line.

Maybe it is laughable to you, but I put nothing of value in my checked bags. But then, neither would I leave a stroller full of stuff unattended in the parks, and many people do. I guess my risk comfort level is pretty low.
