pins allowed in carryon?

Hi - I have not flown in over 14 years and we are taking Jet Blue to Orlando this weekend. Can my daughter put her lanyard with her pins on it in her carry on luggage? A silly question, but hoping we don't need to check any luggage.

absolutely!! and I highly recommend taking them in your carry on. They have been known to go missing from checked luggage.
TSA as MCO is used to tons on pins but TSA at BWI (where I fly from) usually opens my bag to inspect it because I bring quite a few. So don't be surprised if TSA at your home airport scrutinizes them. They may or may not...

Last trip I took the USBC Open (National Open bowling tournament) I brought my pin home in my carry on.... then again, it was a real, full size, souvenir BOWLING pin..... lol.

No issues at all.......
