Pinnacle Systems Dazzle DVD Recorder Question

I have been using Pinnacle Studio 8 to make DVD movies of our vacations. I really like using this program, it is simple and works fantastic for the $1 that I paid for it on E-Bay. I am now looking to up-grade to the 10.5.

My question is about my old VHS-C tapes. I want to get a Pinnacle Systems Dazzle DVD Recorder to transfer those tapes to DVD. Can I download my VHS-C tapes directly into my Studio 8 program using a DVD Recorder so they could be edited? Or does it have to go into my hard drive, or a disc first, then into Studio 8?

You should be able to hook your VCR to the Dazzle and record directly onto your computer. From there, you should be able to use Pinnacle Studio 8 to burn a DVD. Alternatively, you could hook your VCR directly to a standalone DVD recorder and record the DVD directly from the VCR without using a computer at all.
