Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, Sting and Roger Moore

Congratulations are in order to David Gilmour of Pink Floyd and to Sting. They will receive Commander of the British Empire medals from Britain's Queen Elizabeth. They were included on the Queen's birthday list of honorees announced Saturday (June 14). In other honors, Gerry Marsden of Gerry & the Pacemakers, Gary Brooker of Procol Harum and Hot Chocolate lead singer Errol Brown all will receive a Member Of The British Empire medal. Roger ("James Bond") Moore will be receiving a knighthood.

Since Pink Floyd is DH's favorite group I started reading this post to him.....poor guy got really excited because he thought I was going to say that Pink Floyd and Sting were going on tour.
