I made my crinnie pink also and loved it. My dress came with a crinnie built in but I used the extra one also. It just gave my dress alittle extra umph.

Not knowing what your dress looks like, you might want to try it on with the crinnie - you might like the extra poof and the pink looks nice peaking out.

The waist band is elastic. I wear a jeans size 10/12 but my dress is a 14 and it fit fine.
