Who trades pins here, is it worthwhile to buy my son a pin trading lanyard and start buying pins, can someone give me an idea on costs?

Not being cheap here, just wonder how much, and if I am better spenidn that money elsewhere :)

It's hard to predict who will really enjoy this. I bought several pins for my kids to trade last year.

The real surprise was my DH, who is not much of a Disney fan and just goes along to be agreeable. He LOVED pin trading! He was chasing down cast members to look at their pins. He decided on a theme and was on a mission to find pins that fit into it.

Of the three bigger kids, one traded maybe two or three pins a week. The second would trade a few some days and not even think about it others. DS17 traded as many as he could talk me out of every day and collected bunches of really nice pins.

I usually carried a few in my pocket and would trade if something unusual caught my eye.

It's a very expensive hobby, but something fun to do while you're waiting around and going from place to place. Another example of brilliant Disney marketing!
