Pin Trading

Is pin trading still a big thing at the parks. I heard they have cut down on cast members and pin meet ups in the parks. Thank you.

I know this is late. But we are here now and my husband and I both feel pin trading isn’t what it used to be. The cast members aren’t very engaging with it. They basically just let you take whatever from what we have experienced these few days.

I had a fantastic trading experience both near Pin Traders in Epcot and at Sids in Studios. This was with fellow guests. There are pin boards available in many places but I found a small majority of CMs to be really engaged with it.

I wish we had that!! We have in the past but not this trip they would just come over and ask if we needed help and then go back to conversing with each other.

This past trip, begining of Dec, my wife hit the pin trading hard. She decided on one collection she wanted to shoot to finish and would pick up those as well as anything that caught her eyes.

At some locations it was just a 'look at my board take what you want' while other locations were much more engaging. We had one fantastic experience at the French quarter gift shop were at the end of the trip my wife mentioned she was one pin away and this cast member dug through everything they had to help her. She didn't have it but just the fact that she was willing to do that and approached us the next day to apologize meant a lot to my wife.

So yeah it's hit or miss and I feel its like a lot of things in life, the energy you bring to it will probably be matched.
