Im not sure if this is the correct board to post on for this subject, if it's not Im sorry.
I will be staying at the Doubletree on Hotel Plaza Boulevard between Feb 15th and Feb 22nd. I am new to to pin trading, but would like to know where and when I can trade during my stay. Thank you for any info you can give me.

You can trade with any CM that is wearing pins in the parks or resorts!

Hi G,
As Muffy said you can trade with any CM but it has to be a disney pin. Another good tip is only display a pin you are willing to trade,I learned that the hard way. I also find the VWL pin cart to be a good place to trade. Any guest that has a lanyard on is more then willing to trade at anytime. Now we haven't been down since July but I hear the resorts have pin trading nights too.The Poly being a good one to go to.Hope this helps:wave:

There is also a place in the Disney Marketplace that you can trade. We found the best pins were at AK on the CM's lanyards. There were also some CM's at the Hoop De Doo wearing lanyards. I just carried a few around all the time in my fanny pack so that I would have them just in case I found that one special pin that I had to have.

Well, I see a few new names here. Hi, and welcome to the Collectors Board. :)

Check my signature for links to good places to find general information on pin trading at WDW, specifically the Collectors Board FAQ and the Pin Trading Etiquette area on wdwinfo.com. Rules regarding trading with CMs can be found in both places.

If you're looking strictly for CM trading, you can find lanyards all over the place at WDW -- the parks, the resorts, the shops at DTD. If you're looking for other collectors to trade with, the main pin stations -- the hat at MGM, Pin Central at Epcot, Expo Hall at MK, and the pin cart near Island Mercantile -- are popular gathering places. There is also Disney Pin Traders at DTD, right across from Once Upon A Toy.

I always recommend this -- go see Scoop's seminar at Expo Hall in MK. Last I heard it was held Sunday thru Thursday at 1:00 PM, but you might want to double-check with anyone at Expo Hall.

The Saturday night pin meet at the Poly is not an official Disney-sponsored meet, but it's still a great meet. Disney does sponsor the pin meets at the Contemporary on Friday nights, at the All Star Sports on Thursday nights, and at the Boardwalk on Sunday nights.

Donald Duck 57, did you have a bad experience with a rude guest? If so, don't let that discourage you from displaying your traders.
