Pin Trading - Scoop

Hi everyone,

I heard that there is someone named Scoop who does pin trading seminars and trades special pins. Is this a Disney sponsored thing? Where and when can you find him? Is he in MK? Any info would be appreciated.

I've never heard of Scoop before, myself... but I'll willingly admit that there's a lot I don't know. If you do have pin trading questions, I'd be happy to help in any way that I can, though. Also, here's a helpful link, if you need it:

Scoop Sanderson was/is an elusive CM character that used to be found on Main St in MK. He would trade pins with everyone. Wore a checkered vest and straw hat. I don't believe his pin lectures are still being given.

You miight ask in the City hall at MK if he is going to be out the day you are in MK. Sometimes they know.

When we were there last Sept., Scoop was no longer giving the Pin Talks (I think that was a decision made by Disney not Scoop). If you find him, he is more than happy to talk pins with you and play "Secret Pin Trader." Scoop is a really great guy. He truly is a cast member that has that Disney spirit. My husband says that he is his favorite character. I get my husband's picture with him every year.
Also, be leary of the information that you get from City Hall--last year when we asked if he would be in the park that day we were told no but then saw him just outside minutes later.
Just a little other info--His name is "Scoop" because he is the Main Street reporter. You can sometimes see him walking his dogs, Butterscotch and Licorice.

REAL dogs??

Not real dogs--Old time looking Fisher-Price dogs that are pulled along by a string. He told us one time when they got sort of beat up (he replaces them when needed) he tied them to the back of the trolley and waved good-bye! He said from the look of the guests around him you would have thought they were real dogs!
