Pin Trading related Question

For all of you traders out there, do you display all of your traders on your lanyard or do you keep some extras for later?

Also when flying, where do you stow your pins? In your carry on or in checked bags? I haven't flown since 3/06 so I am not sure what may have changed since then.

We usually put about 20 traders on our lanyards in the morning. As we trade them we put the "keepers" on the lanyards until we go back to the hotel. We take the keepers off the lanyards and pack them each evening.

We put all of our pins in our carry-ons. I pack sheets of bubble wrap and put the pins on the wrap, then I layer the bubble wrap in a shirt box.

On my lanyard, I put as many as I can comfortably on the lanyard and any traded/untraded ones I keep in my Pirate & Princess Party Loot bag which is small enough to leave in the hotel room or put in the bag.

Generally, I put mine on the top layer of my stuff in my checked bag, but since I usually go to Paris and I have to sort stuff between checked and hand as soon as I get to the hotel when we don't have the room yet. It works quite well but there may be better solutions as I am only a casual pin trader and haven't been trading for long (I have about 50ish pins)

When I use to travel to WDW I had my pins in carry on. I would never place my pins any longer in checked luggage. (I use to prior to 09/11.)
I also normally wore one lanyard, but always kept extra pins handy. Sometimes I wore two lanyards, just out of convenience. But could tell I was labeled by CMs when doing so. So I stuck with one lanyard.
And even now I have gotten into the habit of carrying/wearing a pin fanny pack or holder.
I use to carry PLENTY of pins on me when I vacationed here, as I was often trading for myself and two others. I think my day record was 80+ in AK.
I don't look for CM lanyards near as diligently now.
