A couple of years ago my son and I were in the World of Disney Store @ DTD and at 6pm a CM came out with a book and you were allowed to trade with them from the book. You got to pick a pin on a first come first serve basis (am I making sense?)...

Anyone know if this is still going on and where I can find info on it? Thanks so much ;) .

I was there in Jan at 2:30 and 6:30 they had a book you could trade two of your pins for two of theirs. It was in the room where they sell watches and jewerly.

I've seen something similar in the DTD Pin Traders store. A Disney CM had a bulletin board full of pins, and you could trade for one of the pins on the board.

I am sure their are more knowledgeable persons than myself who can tell you all of the spots in Disney where things like this happen. The three that I know of are:

1. World of Disney in DTD, I believe the times are 2:30 pm and 6:30 pm. A CM comes out with a book of pins hands out cards to keep everyone in order and you can trade 2 pins with them.

2. In Epcot, I can not remember where, but I think it's in shopping area near innovations they have a bulletin board wehre you get to look at it for ten seconds then choose two pins. (it actually kind of sucks)

3. At the pin events in the contemporary they have a ton of pins wehre kids can go in and trade two pins (without adults)

Please fill in the details and let us know if their are anymore spots!

Additional Pin trading locations

Pin Boards are available at the gift shop at The Dolphin, Swan, Port Orleans (Riverside & French Quarter), Old Key West, Contempory, Caribbean Beach. Ask a cast member to bring them out.

Port Orleans (again both sides) also has a pin board set up in the lobby from 5-5:30pm every day. The gift shops in the Yacht & Beach clubs and Polynesian have their pin boards available from 9-9:30am and 5-5:30pm

Pin binders are available at the pin cart at the Wilderness Lodge and The Boardwalk as well as the gift shop of each of the Hotel Plaza Blvd hotels. Just ask to see them.

Resorts that currently do NOT offer pin boards or binders:
AK Lodge
Coronado Springs
All Star Sports, Music, Movies
Pop Century
Shades Of Green
Grand Floridian

And if you go to Saratoga Springs ask to see the pin blanket (yep, it's a fleece blanket)

All of this is subject to change of course because it apparently is up to the individual resort managers but having hit all the hotels this past week this info is what I experienced.

There is also a "green" pin trading board at the World of Disney store in NYC. Only kids can trade from the board. But you have to ask a CM to bring out the board -- it's kind of a secret. My son has gotten some fantastic pins off this board, and from the CMs wandering the store.
