my girls really like pin trading at WDW - we are headed to DLR next week - is this big in Cali too? I don't see much mention of it? do all the CM trade with the kids?

:thumbsup2 Yes, pin trading is big in DLR. You will find castmembers everywhere trading with kids and adults. Have fun! princess:

Yes it is popular at DLR. We love pin trading. :)

Yes, it is popular....but because it's a smaller park there are less CMs and therefore less lanyards......so you have to seek them out a little more at DL than we did at WDW, but they are there. We just returned a week ago and we had taken 40 pins each and the girls came home with a few traders but there were plenty that were traded.

We love to engage in conversation with the CMs, not just trade and rush off, and have had wonderful memories of our conversations, so be sure to take the time to talk about your hobby or about the parks themselves....these CMs love their job and love to share tidbits about the parks too.

in the past month or so, there seem to be more cast members with teal lanyards (to trade with kids) than there are to trade with adults. Also, if you are there during a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, they sometimes have cast members trading at the barrels in front of Westward Ho (Frontierland), trading between 1 and 3 pm.

thanks for the tips - got them packed!

like to have things like this to do when the crowds are going to be CRAZY next week - keeps some of the fun alive...
