Can anyone tell me what days they do the pin talk and where it is held.. and what do they cover.. is this just for kids?

Who gets the pin?

Thanks :cheer2:

I'm not 100% sure of the days, I think it's Sun-Thurs and I believe it is a 1pm but it might be 2pm. It is inside the exposition hall which is right next to Tony's resturant. You have to go into the back where the theater seats are set up to watch the old movies. He does the talk there. They cover everything and anything. There were MOSTLY adults there when we went and tons of adult win pins. At the end he did give all the kids there, which were only like 6 of them, a free pin. It was fun and I look forward to going again. Scoop is a neat guy.

I love learning new things, especially about pins!! Excellent! Hopefully I can get there in June when we go.

I was there in Jan. It was at 1:00. It was very interesting. Free pin for under 12 and for adult you could trade a pin and close you eyes and pick one from his hat. All the pins in his hat were cast lanyard pins. So I got a nice pin. ;-). There wasn't alot of people so he ask some trivia for a free cinderella jumbo pin and I got the guestion right. So I make out ;-)

I didn't know about this. Thanks so much for posting! :sunny:

Scoops pin talk is great! I was "picked on" last July as one of the only new faces in the crowd and had a ball. I got to wear his pin vest, boy was it heavy. Don't go in just expecting a free pin because it is so much more. From what I gathered he changes it up so there is no telling what he might do each day.

I hope someone here can help me. My daughter loves pin trading when we go to WDW. She got alot of new pins for Easter for our upcoming trip and her lanyard will not hold them all. Is there a lanyard that you can buy that can hold more pins or just what does everyone else do about this situation? Thanks!

We stopped letting the kids wear their lanyards after about a day because they kept handing them to me to hold while they rode rides. We bought a "fanny pack" that holds pins, but after a while found we could just carry a baggie in my purse and keep a few in our pockets for trading with cast members.

The kids display some on lanyards in their rooms, but never take them to the parks anymore.

Depends on how many pins you want. Heck, you can buy a vest a wear them!
Best if anyone is trading to just wear the tradable pins on their lanyard. And those to be traded later, or not for trade keep in pockets of a fanny pack.

Scoop's pin talk is a must for newbie pin traders. All attendees seem to like it, whether they get a free pin or not. Not all attendees receive a free pin. But go there, be enthusiatic and volunteer! Then you will really enjoy yourself!

swilshire- we ran into this problem last year also. DD didn't got tired of wearing her lanyard and so me and DH had to hold on to it.

Luv2Roam-Thanks for your advice. We want to check out Scoop's pin talk, sound like a lot of fun.

I think we'll just do the ziploc bag thing in the waist pack. That sounds like a good idea!

I looked at the page you posted and couldn't find any mention of a pin talk...I know I am just missing it...but could you direct me to the right area:) TIA I am just a little bit slow when it comes to websites **maybe I spend too much time dreaming of DW!**

that sounds interesting for the pins traders in the family (DD10 & DH).
