Any ideas or inexpensive solutions for storing pins. We are small time pin traders, who also collect trip significant pins for memorabelia that we don't plan to trade. We current have them haging on 3-4 lanyards and bottle straps, but I was thinking that this time I would break down and buy a Disney Pin Taders "pack" or book. I have seen them at the outlet store, but usually they're not that disconted. Are there any generic pin sorage books out there, or has anyone come up with a different solution for storing their pins? Right now we probably only have about 40 pins and we usually add only 2-3 to the collection per trip.
Thanks for any ideas.

When I first started, I used a MEAD
zippered binder

took about 6 or 8 felt squares, punched
holes in them and put them in the binder...
(this can be tedious with a hole punch)

I put pins every other sheet, as to have
a protector sheet inbetween...

I still use them too... but for older pins...

total cost is about $5.99 for the binder
and maybe $2.00 for the felt (if you find
them on sale!)

good luck and have fun!

Since these are keepers not traders, some people line a wall with cork (or corkboards) and display them instead of storing them in a bag or binder. Some people are also very good at putting them in a matted frame. You lose the mobility, but you get to admire them everytime you're in the room.

I corkboard and frame mine but I also dont trade more than a lanyard full at a time (major collector minor trader) I love looking at them and would hate to have them in a binder-

Thanks for the ideas. It got me thinking and yesterday I went to walmart and right by the felt was craft foam with one sitcky side. I picked up three pieces of 8-1/5 X11 craft foam and three pieces of felt and stuck the felt on the back fo the craft foam. I'm still thinking how to proceed next. One idea is to buy a CD storage case and slide the foam and felt into the CD pockets, or for our upcoming trip I may just buy some heavy duty freezer bags and slide each piece in there. Actually, I only have enough pins to fill about 1 1/2 pieces. But I can easily put them in the suitcase without them getting all banged up, now. Plus I'll keep my fingers crossed that maybe the outlet stores will have a case on close out.

I bought some coin sheets from a coin collector's store and attached the sticky foam sheets to the back, then put them in a binder.
The coin sheets have 20 individual compartments which are great for storing pins
