Anyone know how much packs of pins cost at the World? I'm thinking of the sets (not starter sets) with a theme; they usually have 5-7 pins in them. Just wondering what I should budget in case the kids run out of pins they want to trade and we need to buy more while we're there.

If I recall from my last visit, the mystery packs of 2 are around $12.95 and the themed sets of 4-7 pins range from $24.99 to $39.99.

If you break it down, it is roughly $7-$9 a pin depending on size and quality for the set pins.

The individual pins are color coded for cost and range from I believe $6 and $15.

I nicely filled lanyard can fit a good 18-22 pins.

Hope this helps!

Ouch. That's more than I was thinking. Maybe I'll be a few of the sets on Ebay that I saw were new in the packaging and only dole them out if needed.

Thanks for the information!

If you just want more for trading, not necessarily keeping, check out the lots of pins on ebay. I bought 2 lots of 25 for $40 total and they are all good. A friend has bought hundreds and only gotten 2-3 scrappers.

Not to start a firestorm but it's difficult (if not impossible) to buy a lot on eBay and get mostly authentic pins.

There is a list on this board of good/bad eBay sellers.

I frequently buy single pins from eBay, which can be as low as $3 a piece. I avoid the lots because there are way too many fakes.

The site pinpics lists (almost) every Disney pin and has lots of info on how to spot "scrappers".

It is an expensive hobby! But so much fun :)
