I have a question I'm hoping someone might help me with... I know sometimes rather than getting a PIN code by email or mail, they're "attached" to your name and if you call Disney, you can ask them if you have a PIN code attached to your name. My question is, if I use a travel agent to book my package, will Disney tell my travel agent if she asks if there is a PIN code attached to my name or do I have to call to ask myself?
Thanks in advance!!

Yes, your travel again can get that information for you. Just make sure your agent has your name, address and phone number handy as the Disney CM will need those identifiers to check for the PIN. Doesn't hurt to give her the info of any other traveling companions in case they have a pin and you don't!

In a post someone else said they called to check, but her TA had to call to get it applied, since they "own" the reservation. So your TA should be able to check for you!

This. :) I called today to check and since I had booked through a travel agent the first person I spoke to could not tell me if I had a pin. They transferred me to travel relations (or something like that) who worked with the TA. WHen I spoke to them I just asked them to check my name and my husbands name, not our reservation and they did. Unfortunately, no pin for either of us :(

Thank you for the replies :) I'm going to have my travel agent call to check! I'm praying we are one of the lucky ones who have a PIN but I'm not counting on it with my horrible luck! lol :crazy2:

I asked my TA and she said she could not ask them. I have since cancelled with her and called Disney myself last night to re-book my trip. I asked if we had one and sure enough, my hubby had one! I asked the CM if the TA's can ask if their clients have one and she said no. But, it never hurts to ask!

I don't understand this. How do you get a PIN attached to your "name"? I booked through a Travel agent too, but I had no idea PINS could just be floating around out there without your knowledge...? If I am booked at AoA LM is a PIN pretty much a ridiculous thought?

Okay, so an update - my travel agent called Disney and there is a PIN code attached to my name and address for free dining from November 11 - 23. We are going from November 9th - 16th so for the first 2 nights, November 9th and 10th we'd have to pay for the dining plan ourselves and for the rest of the stay from November 11th - 16th we'd get free dining. HOWEVER, it actually costs more for us to do the free dining and have to split our stay between the first 2 nights and the last 5 nights.. paying for everything with the park hopper pass, resort room and basic dining plan came to $5101.76 for 2 rooms, adults. If I do it with splitting the stay so we get the "free" dining, the cost comes to $5,269.56. Makes no sense since it's cheaper to pay for it myself without even a room discount or anything... I'm so confused! :confused3

Are you adding ticket cost to both.reservations?

Here is what you need to do. Price.a room only for the first two nights. Then do a pkg the five nights with tickets to get the free dining.

Disney does allow you to pick up your tickets early during your room only nights. You will then have to check in again (very likely keeping the same room) and that is.when your free dining begins.

You cannot access your free dining credits early. So you will have.to pay out of pocket for your meals during the room only portion of your trip.

I have done this several times.

Yeah I agree- I don't see how it would be more, that's strange - hope you get your discount enjoy your trip :)

I think it's coming out to more because for the first 2 nights, I added the dining plan but I'm going to take it off and just use the Free Dining promo for the 5 nights and pay out of pocket (like Amy & Dan said) for the 2 nights/days we're there.. We did set it up for the split stay, 2 separate reservations for both me and my husband and my parents (so we have 2 reservations and my parents have 2 reservations) so we can re-check in the day the Free Dining promo starts. So IF I'm calculating it right, that'll take off $444.72 for 2 nights for 4 people. Is that right?? Sorry, I'm not good with calculating these things! LOL

Its true that pins can be attached to your name. Each person can only call and check on themselves (I cant call and check on my BF for example). Last year, I called and had a room discount pin attached to my name. I don't know if they attempted to notify me in an email and I missed it or what, but it was there. I check frequently now when planning a trip. But yes, I wouldn't count on one for AoA LM. I just received the free dining pin myself which is good through the end of the year, and it specifically excludes AoA LM.
