Pin Codes and WDW Live chat

I was on the WDW website and the live chat popped up. I decided to "chat with them and ask about pin codes.


This is what I learned:

you: Are you a WDW booking agent?
Artimas: Hello! I am a Walt Disney World® Cast Member, but I am unable to book reservation through this chat. I can assist you in booking your reservation online if you would like.
you: I was hoping you could tell me if I had a Pin Code attatched to my name or household.
Artimas: I am unable to access that type of information. To discover that type of information, you would need to contact the Disney Reservation Center and speak to a reservation specialist. Would you like that telephone number?
you: Please?
Artimas: That telephone number is 407-560-CHAT (2428). Once you call just let them know your last name and zip code. Then they should be able to check on that PIN offer. you: OK Thanks.
Artimas: Not a problem! Are there any other questions I can assist you with today?

For those of us who don't have a pin code in hand.... just call!

i just called...sounds the same as 407 WDISNEY intro....didnt get thru as I got hung up on....AGAIN! This seems to be a perpetual problem!
 

finally got thru earlier today...CM said they can't check for PIN codes. Whatever! Sooo annoying!:guilty:
 
I called this number earlier and got a great CM who told me that they can't refuse to tell you if you have a discount or not...

Hmm...sounds like there are a few disgruntled CMs at Disney then. Maybe someone should remind them how lucky they are to still have jobs in this economy. Oops...my bitterness is showing through. :goodvibes
 
I called yesterday, (3rd time this week) and the CM was very happy to check for me. I told her exactly the info the live chat CM had told me but guess what......
I AM NOT IN THEIR SYSTEM!!!! WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!:confused3
I just called 2 other times this week and was there, she took my info and entered me in, but what the heck.....
 
on the phone with them now. Don't like this one too many questions.
 
If you get a CM that tells you they cant check just hang up and call back. They ARE allowed to tell you

Nah, it's not disgruntled CMs - The problem is when you reach off-shore CMs. I It's more likely that they cannot check this.
 
What exactly is an "offshore CM"? All CM's are in the US. Tampa, Orlando, Houston, and Salt Lake City. They all have the same access to check the same info
 
All I know is I am done calling for awhile. On Sunday I had 3 rude CMs. In their defense I could hear the call center noise in the background and it sounded crazy there. I'm just going to take a bit of a break. The newest code of kids eating free wouldn't work for us anyway thanks to our dates being in October.
