I priced out a room for a possible short trip this fall. I saved a room at All Star Sports for $95 in my cart. Today I got an email with a pin code, along with a reminder about the trip saved in my cart. Haven't gotten one in ages. The thing is, the price for the room I was looking at was the same with the pin as with the fall special available to everyone. Not sure what the point was for giving me the pin, unless some of the more expensive resorts come out cheaper with it and they are trying to get me to upgrade.

Yeah, that does seem strange! I also don't see the point of giving you a pin code which equals the price available to everyone. Wonder if the value of receiving a pin code will no longer be an actual savings? Odd.

I would try applying it to a moderate rate or deluxe and compare, just to see.

The last time I used a pin you had to call. Now you can look online. It showed all resorts. Some deluxe were 30% off and the fall special is 25%. I'm thinking it's an upsell since I priced the absolute cheapest room they have going.
