I have never received the "elusive pin code" -- if I ever do, I will surely need a paramedic!

I wish I would have known they were going to do free DDP in November/December because that's such a better time to travel to WDW than late August. We enjoyed our recent visit but between the heat, family illnesses, and hurricanes it was very stressful.

Yes...but what is your spending threshold to receive it? Mine is usually some crazy amount like $1200 -- that's why I use my Costco American Express for anything and everything I can. No annual fee, 3% cash back on dining/gas purchases, 2% cash back on travel, and 1% cash back on everything else.

It stinks not being able to use your pin code! I got 2 in the last month but we can't use them! It's sad that we can't just give them to someone who can use them!

We got some fall fantasy code but the free dining came out to be cheaper so we went with that code. This is probably only the second time I got a code (we got 3 offers this year) The other code was probably 5 years ago.

OMG -- I can't believe it, I just checked my email and there is a pin code...in my DMIL's name!!!! Arrrrrrgh, she has only been to WDW one time about three years ago and it was a trip I arranged and paid for but I guess because there was a room in her name that's how she got it. This just makes me so sad because she had been hospitalized for almost two months now with very little hope of improving. Do you have any idea how badly I would like her to be able to use this code? Who knows -- maybe this is a sign of some kind that things might get better (I sure hope so).

Disney sends out postcards/emails that have discount offers which include a special pin number that can only be used by the recipient. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how they determine who gets the offers but a lot of people have ordered the planning cd and received a pin code afterwards...so maybe that's one of the things that triggers the deal.
