Pin code vs. general public code

Has anyone seen a difference in their package between the pin codes just recently released and the new general public code that just came out??

So far I haven't been able to apply my pin code to my existing BC reservation because they are only offering it for my days with water view. To convert my existing AAA room only to the PIN code would cost me an additional $175.50 for 3 nights.

I think there are *different* pin codes floating around with varying %s.. So I think the answer is, it depends which pin code a person has, whether it was better or worse than the GP code.

For me, I booked on a pin about a week ago for 2 nights at CBR. I am paying roughly 130 a night. The GP code quote I got yesterday came out to be about 110 a night (incl. tax)... so the GP code, in this case, worked out to be a better nightly rate than the pin code I got in the mail.

However, I couldn't use the GP code because it has a 3 night minimum on it, or so I was told... so I stuck with my pin.

Hope this helps.

I had a 30% pin code and I called to see if I could get a better deal with the general public code, and when she ran my reservations with the GP code, it saved me an additional $171.50 off what my 30% code would have saved me. So for me, the GP code was the better deal.

Well, my pin code would not apply to my BC room unless I upgraded to water view and paid them $175, lol. This takes the discounted room rate to well over $400 a night during regular season. Hate to see peak!

I haven't booked anything yet, but I priced my proposed vacation online yesterday using the current general public offer and compared that to the price I received when I called with my pin code (my first ever) and the pin code price was approximately $100 less than the GP price.

My room only at POR Riverside (water view) with my 30% pin code came out to $649.70 for Dec11-16.
With the AP discount it came out to $624 with a standard view.
The GP rate came out at $800.44 for a standard view room with 2 one day passes. We already have passes so the GP rate is not better for us.
I kept the original 30% rate.

Where online do you put the code in? I could not find any place.

The GP code was better than my 30% room only pin. I got an extra $111 off :)

I didn't put a code in. Go to disneyworld.com. Click on Tickets and Reservations at the top on the right. Then click on "Special Offers" on the left side of that page. The offer is there. Just click on the first one and put in your information. You can ask it to hunt for all the hotels, or you can be more specific -- just moderates (for example) or you can click on "I know the hotel I want" and choose it. You can then open the different options. You can adjust the number of days on the tickets you want. You can add dining or deluxe dining. Just play with it a little. If you decide to book on line, it will add the insurance at the end. If you don't want the insurance be sure to decline.

Hope this is helpful.

I got a pin code and with the new general public code it was $225 cheaper. So I booked with the QX code can't remember the exact code. For 6 nights Dec 18-Dec 24.

I tried but the GP code was not available for my dates at the AKL, bunk bed savanna view.

I was able to get my pin code applied after a few tries, and I saved about 20 percent.

I got a pin code via email yesterday and am unable to use it...it's 30% discount. We are going in January and this is just for specific dates in 2008. I was bummed. I hope they send me another when the next codes come out...I know my AAA wasn't 30% off.

My TA called and said my dates at CSR were available at the new GP code price for the same amount as my pin (I had the $371pp deal email).

We are staying at CSR for 3 nights starting on Oct 13 with 4day PHP for $883. I'm hoping to add another day (Oct 12) but it's currently sold out!

Well for me the GP was EXTREMELY better than my 20% off PIN.

With the PIN I had the CBR 11/9-11/15, 2 rooms, 1 day base tix for 2 adults 2 kids & Dining for $2641.

With the GP the same package is now only costing us $2196!!! That is a savings of another $445.00 on top of what I already saved using the PIN.

So I went ahead & added 2 extra nights & the total for me is $2833, about $1200 off of rack rate!!!!

I am super excited!!!!!
