My Dad took us to DW in Jan and I want to go again and I have a question about Pin codes. I see that you can get really great deals with them but was wondering how do I get one? Do I need to be a member or something?

Basically you just have to be lucky-- Disney alone knows how they determine who gets one when.

Probably the best ways of saving money can be found at www.mousesavers.com

If your parents are members of AAA, they give a discount ranging from 10-20% off the price of the resort. And if either parent is a teacher or a nurse, you can get a nice discount at the Swan/Dolphin.

Free dining starts August 16 and extends until Ocotber 3.

Call Disney! I just got off the phone with Disney and had the nicest CM (Vincent) check to see if I had any PIN codes associated to my name and I did! I had 3 different ones and ended up using the PIN for free dining when I'm going (which is the one I wanted). I never received notification via email or mail that I had any of these PINS. It can't hurt to call and ask! If the CM you talk to says that they can't look it up, just hang up and call back or heck, ask for Vincent. Good luck! :thumbsup2

Aimee: Do the math!!

Disney won't let you stack codes, so it's either free dining OR the PIN, not both.

For us last year at the Poly, it was a tossup between dining and the 40% PIN. For most families at most resorts during most times of the year, Free Dining is still the better deal.

I don't see Aimee claiming to have used more than one PIN, just that she had 3 PINs associated with her name and used one of them, which happened to be one that gave her free dining.

I'm not accusing her of anything.

She mentioned Free Dining and a PIn in the same post. I just wanted to warn her that Disney will allow one or the other, not both. And that she'll want to choose the one that gives her, not Disney, the best bang for her buck.

Hi Aliceacc,

Thanks for the info. I picked the PIN code for free dining which applied to my trip I currently have booked. The 40% off PIN wasn't for when we are booked and I never even got to the third pin, because I was so excited to get our free dining PIN. All in all we are saving ~$500 which I am more than thrilled with!

Disney here I come!

Aimee
