Pin Code Offer for 4/11/10-6/3/10

I got the $500 GC/$743 per adult/moderate resort with park tickets pin. While I'm almost sure that I won't be able to convince DH to book our 2nd trip before we've even taken our first (going in Dec), I'm wondering how good of a deal this is? Should I go ahead and book it and cancel later if another offer comes out? Is this one of those 'can't pass up deals'? I would have 2 adults and 1 child in my party.

You sound like me! We are going in Nov and I am already planning for next year!

I know this is asked on every posting but do any of you have ideas as to how you received the PIN code? I am registered on their website in a couple of ways with different email accounts. I have been checking prices (using my email) during these time periods and have yet to receive anything. I know I should sign up for the Visa but I have worked my way out of debt, I just can't get another card and I have to have the ones I have for work. Any suggestions are so much appreciated!

are you taken off the list and don't receive them anymore?:confused3 :sad1:

I rec'd my first pin code :woohoo: and am so excited but we may not be able to use it. We rec'd the mod w/ $500 gift card.

Anyone know if you don't use your pin code whether they stop sending them?

cheers,
:flower3:

Not that I think. I have received more than I have ever used. Just my experience. The 500 giftcard most likely can be used with any hotel type. Last year you could and we did (you can book up to 3 rooms with it, too as long as you are travelling together.)

I also received a pin for the same dates but here is what mine said!

I have an AP so I will keep an eye out for better rates in the future, but I thought this was a good start!

This is the same PIN code that I received. Unfortunately I won't be using it since I already have the 4/3 deal booked for January.

Heeeeeyyyyyyyyy! How come I haven't gotten a code? :confused3 Sorry for the whinning! We just gato back 9/8 & I am trying to plan another trip May/June ish. Shoul I call? I have a Disney Visa. I 've done questionaires. Pooh! Again, sorry for the whinning.

This is the code we just got, it doesn't seem quite as good to me as some of the other ones out there. Did anyone else receive this offer?

Can someone help me out?? I am a Disney novice..lol
We just booked a 4/3 trip to Polynesian for march. we did a package of hotel, tickets w/ hopper and dining plan. Today we received 2 emails with pins for kids 3-9 stay, play and eat for free and one for big kids get little kids prices. We are a family of 5, kids are 11, 2 and 3 at time of travel. Which plan is best for us? Thanks in advance!

I got a PIN by email yesterday as well.

SUBJECT: "A Magical Disney Deal, _______ Family!"

This offer is just one of the Minnie reasons to visit!

Mine says "Save 20% on a 5-night/6-day WDW Vacation Package. Just choose the one that's right for you!"

I called at reserved:

May 22-29th 2010 (7 nights/8 days)
Coronado Springs
Standard
2 adults
7 day Park Hopper
$1618.70

That is 20% off the ENTIRE package, because I went to WDW.com and priced out the full package, calculated the 20% off and got the exact same price!

I forgot to ask about the $500, though it doesn't sounds like a Disney Gift Card, which can be used at restaurants as well, but rather a merchandise specific card.

I'm going to call back and get quotes for Disney Dining and Deluxe Dining.

UPDATE: Called back and the PIN applies to BOTH the standard DP and the Deluxe DP.

Now booked, same as above with DP for $2424.96. That makes the DxDP $57.60/person/day WITH taxes.

We got the 491 PP for Values with Park Hopper tickets.

I just send an email to Rhonda here at DreamsUnlimited to see what she can do on this offer.

We're Passholders, so if I HAVE to buy the tickets, it won't be worth it for us.

But, if we can get away with only buying 1-day tickets, we may consider it for a trip in April around the time of DH's birthday.

I was so excited when I got this deal. It falls right into the dates I was planning to go to Disney in May. However, I am planning on getting an AP and not sure if this would be a good deal. I think I'll wait for a room only offer.

I have an AP so I will keep an eye out for better rates in the future, but I thought this was a good start!

I just got back from F&W on Sunday night and received this offer this a.m. We had the same offer in May, too. So, this is the fourth time I have received one of these codes this year.

To think just a year ago I could barely get a AAA rate and this year I have received more deals than my AP has provided over the years.

Did they all come at the same time and all to the same email address?
Within 2 hours to 4 different emails (hubby,me, and 2 of the kids from their game accts). All had "******** family, a special offer just for you".

We received 3 of the same pin code offers (to 3 different emails) for the $500 gift card if you stay at the Moderate resorts and purchase tickets. There is NO discount on the stay or tickets with this offer, so I'm thinking that if you received a % off pin code, this is a MUCH better deal than the $500 gift card (especially if you are staying at a Moderate). I forgot to confirm with the CM I just spoke to if the gift card could be used at the restaurants, but when I looked at the link online in the email to disneygiftcard.com, it stated it could be used for restaurants, shopping, etc. I also asked the CM if I had a different offer (like the % off code) attached to my name, my husband's name, or any of the emails and he said no - that was the only offer at this time. Since we have to stay at either the cabins at Fort Wilderness or the Family Suites (we are a family of 5 and have 1 with severe food allergies so we need a kitchen/kitchenette), the $500 gift card is not all that special for us compared to the % off. Of course if this is our only offer we get......it's better than nothin'! If we don't get the dining plan, then we could use it for food in the parks.

I wish I knew how to get on the lists. I have made intineraries and saved them under my e-mail. I also enter a lot of Disney contests. We don't have the Disney Visa so that isn't why we keep getting codes. We seem to get codes often, but I don't know why I am so lucky.

We haven't been to Disney since May of '08 and I got about 6 codes since our last trip, none we could use and I just got one last night that it looks like we will be able to use. So yes, we receieved codes we couldn't use, and we still keep getting them. I hope it continues for both of us!

If you haven't bought an AP yet and aren't planning to buy one until your May trip, I think you can use the value of your tickets and apply it to your AP. (Someone correct me if I am wrong) That's what we are planning to do if we decide to do a trip in May with our code, and another in October.

Yes, you can apply the value of your tickets towards and upgrade to an AP, I have done so numerous times with tickets purchased as a part of discounted packages. I am planning on doing the same.

My AP will still be active during my May 2009 trip (expiring May 30th 2010), but I have 7 day PH's for my PIN package because that is the admission my friend will need. Because Magic Your Way Passes don't expire until you use them (i.e. one you enter a park with a MYW ticket they expire 14 days from first use), the 7 day PH will be saved and then used to upgrade to an AP on my Sept 2009 trip.
