Pin code dates?

I got a pin code in the mail a couple days ago, but the dates only go through December 16th. We are not going to be able to go on our trip until January, so I was wondering if pin codes released later in the year will last through the beginning of next year. If I were to receive another pin code in late summer/fall or early winter, what are the chances the discount would last long enough for us to use it on our trip?
Also, when should I expect to hear about special deals for that time of year (fall? Christmas?) I know it's only April now, but I like to plan as much as possible in advance.

I do not have an answer for you, but don't feel too bad. I got a Free QSD PIN code today and it expires 8/14. We plan on checking into WDW on 8/15! Close but no (Mickey shaped) cookie!!
