Hi. I have a PIN for 30% off Values, 35% off Mods, 40% off Deluxes. Are the Family Suites at ASMus included in this? At the 30% off rate? WDW phones are closed right now and I won't be able to call tomorrow morning while I'm at work and I'm too curious to wait until tomorrow evening. Thanks so much.

They are included, if there is availability for the dates you are looking to go. Let me know if you have any other questions. We've got a fam suite booked with the code... it makes a big difference! Saved us about $500 for our 5 night trip.

I had that code too and when I called they told me that it would be more money, which I didn't understand, how can a discount be more?

More money? Did you already have another discount on the room. like the 5/2 deal or something? It is more expensive to stay in a family suite than to have 2 rooms at a value... is that what you were looking to do?

Marcie,

Can you tell me what the suite offers? I belive they have 2 bathrooms, a kitchenette, but only 1 bedroom (what size bed) and then pull-outs in the living area. Is that correct? Would it be less expensive to book 2 connecting rooms at AS or a suite? It will be me, DS, DD & DGD going.

When I was looking for us in May, two reg value rooms were $25/night cheaper than a FS and two preferred value rooms were $5/night more than a FS. I think the FS are located in the preferred area, but I could be wrong.

Ah, stuck in Kansas? What part? I grew up here and left at age 18 (1968) - headed to California - woohoo! Thought I knew everything (don't we all at that age) but after living in LA, San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento, then Houston, TX and Seattle, WA, I ended up right back here in 1981. My parents were aging and needed a bit of assistance.

Actually, I think it helps to live other places before you can appreciate coming 'home' - besides, I would never have met my best friend and husband of 17+ years now if I hadn't returned. So HEY - now Kansas is my favorite place to be. :woohoo:

Besides, now I can go other places on vacation instead of always having to come here to visit family!

Thanks for the information about value/preferred - I'll ask when I call.

The family suite is only 1 bedroom... with a QS bed :cool1:. The living area has a pull out couch (full size), a pull out chair (twin size), and an ottoman that makes a twin size cot. The kitchenette has a microwave, coffee pot, fridge, sink, and space for storage. Disney also provides paper/plastic ware & coffee. There are 2 bathrooms, both full size. Two tv's (one in the bedroom), a desk, and plenty of storage space.

It is less expensive to book 2 value rooms, but you are not guarenteed to get them connecting/adjoining. It is about $25 more per night for the family suite, but you get the fridge & microwave (fridge I believe is $10/day & I'm not sure if you can rent the microwaves or not). IMO, the big bonus is a queen size bed... something you typically can't get except at a deluxe or Coronado Springs (only moderate with QS beds... and you pay a little more than vs. POR or POFQ).

Let me know if you'd like to see some pics. I found some great ones before our trip to share with DH, and they help show the layout of the suite really well.

edited to add that the FS ARE in a preferred location, which is really nice! And I think the preferred loc. is more than $5/night for each room... might be more like $10/night per room.

I's love to see some pictures - can you post them here or add a link?

Thanks for the information as it is very helpful. I am hoping to try for a booking either early spring or in mid-fall, all depends on my daughter's budget (just went through a nasty divorce).

We are also considering off-site but I really prefer staying in the Disney loop!

FYI, I *think* I may have found these pics on the Disboards, but I don't remember... take note, I do not take credit for the photos!!! :rotfl:

Beds all pulled out (we put the ottoman/cot in the 'hallway' between the bedrom & living area... still had a lot of walk between room with it there):

Being a seasoned Disney traveller, I'm sure you know that if you get a good deal on property, it works out to be about the same as staying off-site. I'm sure you will be able to find something to help make it work! Keep your eye out here on the Dis, and you will for sure hear about an awesome deal for the time you are hoping to travel. :goodvibes
