Pin code and AP discount questions

Hi,

I have an AP. I have never booked with a personal pin code (haven't received one yet) or an AP discount. I plan to go in October 2012. I was thinking of calling and seeing if their is a personal pin code attached to my name.

My questions are if there is a personal pin code attached to my name and I book with that and later an AP discount comes out that is better, can I switch or does the AP discount only apply to new reservations and not ones already booked?

Second question, are the personal pin codes and AP discounts usually for hotel only bookings? I don't need a package but I would book a package with the pin code if it was a larger savings.

Last question, can I use a pin code for multiple bookings? Like I want to do a split stay at 2 resorts, can I use it for both (this is all assuming I actually get a pin code!)?

Thanks

OK, I am shocked!

While waiting for answers here, I just called and asked if there was a pin code attached to my name (I haven't gotten one in the mail). There was and it was pretty big!

It is for 35% off for any dates in 2012, up to Dec 20th, with only blackouts at Thanksgiving and one week in April so doesn't affect my Oct dates. Also, she said it's for ANY resort (though I am assuming when I actually book there may be only some discounted rooms available??).

She said it could be room only or applied to the room only portion of a package.

I am now deciding what to book. I also forgot to ask if I can use it twice if I do a split stay. :confused3
