Very surprisingly I received the white rabbit pin. However, I'm a little confused.....everyone seems to want a pin so badly, but the offer that is currently on the Disney website is better. And to be completely honest, travelocity's rate was even better than that. We are going to WDW the end of Aug/beginning of Sept. So I'm guessing the pin would be beneficial to me if our dates were outside the public offer time period??? Is this correct? Sorry if this should be obvious to me, but I'm just trying to figure it out. I didn't even know about pin codes until about 3 weeks ago.

You are correct, it is dependant on your travel time.

We are traveling Oct 15-25 and thus are not included in the current promotions. We were lucky enough to get the 20, 30, 40 pin in March and it saved us almost $1600.00 over the rack rates. And recently I have gotten the Monster Pin not once but twice. Unfortunately it does not cover the days I am traveling. The airline tickets have already been bought.

The overall viability of your pin code is going to vary based on the code, the dates you plan to visit, the size of your party, the level of resort you prefer to stay in, etc... you will see a lot of on going discussions about which deal is best. Disney math can sometimes take a lot of work to figure out. It sounds like in your case the pin that you received just isn't the right pin for this occasion. Better pixie dust next time! :wizard:

Also, if you book on Travelocity you can't get any of the dining packages with those reservations - and we prefer to have dining included so that wouldnt work for us...

Now, Im just waiting for my PIN for next June....:lmao:

Okay, thanks for helping me out! :thumbsup2 I assumed the pins must be helpful when Disney doesn't have a general public offer, but I just wasn't sure. Now I definitely understand!!!! :goodvibes Thanks again!

If you were going in Nov or Dec, the value of having a pin valid for that period would be more obvious. Part of the problem in not getting a pin is that the choice rooms have already been booked by those who have one. Your public offer, when it finally is released, may leave you having to upgrade or take a resort you really don't want.
