I surprised my kids with lanyards and pins to trade, but there's a problem. The little rubber Mickey pin backs keep coming off pretty easily. Can they still trade them in the parks if we put better backs on them? :confused3

We found that they will trade them as along as they have some sort of back on them. CMs usually allowed DS7 to keep his rubber Mickey back if they were trading one with a lesser quality back. They do sell locking pin backs in WDW but they weren't cheap, I think $7.95 for 6 backs. I didn't see them everywhere that sold pins, but I remember pricing them at the Pin Trading store in Frontierland at MK.

This was our 1st time pin trading & it was FUN. Just beware though - it almost took over the trip, it became sort of an obsession! Now that we're home DS7 hasn't even looked at his pins once! Grrrr!

:rotfl: That's okay! So long as it's a park obsession! This is our first trip and we're all so excited!! :yay:

Thanks for the tips on the pin backs. I found some locking ones on EBay and was hoping they would work.

after both kids lost one just walking around. They are pricey, and kinda a pain.. but great insurance. :)
