I thought with the recent travel delays and cancellations that is was mostly weather.
However i just read this today in an article.
"The pilot shortage for the industry is real, and most airlines are simply not going to be able to realize their capacity plans because there simply aren't enough pilots, at least not for the next five-plus years," United CEO Scott Kirby said in a quarterly earnings call in April, per CNBC.
5 years? And this summer suppose to be the busiest the last 2 or 3 years. Where did the pilots go? Did they all retire/take buyouts? Not being paid enough? Burnout?
