In some of the messages that I have read on this wonderful message board there has been some mention of getting pillowcases signed.

What exactly is everyone talking about? If my son leaves a white pillowcase, it will be signed by the characters?

I know this might sound a little silly, but we are new to the Disney experience, and I'd hate for my son to miss out.

Thanks in advance.

Just take whatever you would to be signed (pillowcase, mat for a frame, t-shirt, etc), in a ziploc baggie with permanent sharpie markers to guest services when you get onboard and ask that it be signed by the characters. We did this for our DD5 on the September Western and the CM even asked us which characters we wanted to sign. I requested any/all princesses, Mickey and Minnie and anyone else who wanted to! We ended up with 19 character autographs on her pillowcase. It was returned to our stateroom our last evening on board.

Just a few things to consider. The CM when we were there said they could only do one item per child. Some DIS'ers have said the same thing I did, others say they had multiple items autographed with no problem. Also, I have seen some report they were told to come back and pick up their item(s) the last night; others said the items were delivered to their stateroom. So just be aware there seems to be some inconsistencies from cruise to cruise and CM to CM out there, but don't be discouraged. Our DD loves hers and it is a great (free) souvenier!
HTH! Have a great cruise!
