Okay, call my kids weird, but they like their own pillows. We've been able to get away with packing just their pillowcases when we travel, and that's worked out GREAT!

But we haven't stayed in hotels - - just with family. What will mousekeeping do with my DD's pillowcases when they clean during the day? Should we leave a note?

I think that you should take them off your pillowcases when mousekeeping comes to clean your room.

I don't think that you should leave a note.

We always travel with our Minnie and Mickey pillowcases. We put them on over the white pillowcases from the hotel. Mousekeeping, leaves them alone. They've never taken them off when we were there.

Although I'm sure you could leave a note and it would be fine, I would take the pillow cases off during the day time JUST to make sure nothing happend.

p.s That's not weird at all. Doesn't everyone like sleeping with their own pillow/pillow case. It's familiar, it says "it's bed time and i'm safe and comfy" My dad is 50 years old and travels for a living. His pillow/pillowcase goes where he goes. :thumbsup2

I LOVE my pillow but since I can't take it with me I will settle for the case. I just take it off and wash it myself.:laundy:

I bring my own expensive pillow (I hate hotel pillows..too soft) and case and I just placed it over on top of my luggage everyday before we left the room and they never touched it.

They will leave their cases alone, not to worry.

The reason I don't travel with my own pillow is there are to many germs to bring back home with me!Yuck!

I must have my own pillow also. I bring my own pillow from home. I don't do anything special. I leave it on the bed w/ the other pillows. Mousekeepers make the bed w/ my pillow on top.

I am so happy I found this thread. I am taking DD4's pillow with her special Cinderella Pillow Pal over it. I was wondering what to do with it. It sounds like I can leave it on the bed and everything will be A-OKAY.

My one problem with Disney Mousekeeping occurred when I foolishly left my son's handmade baby quilt amongst the bedding. It seems to have been bundled up with the other stuff and sent someplace else to be laundered. It was never seen again. I doubt that mousekeeping would miss a pillow, but try not to leave small personal items between the sheets. Keep the pillowcases on big pillows, and away from any big piles of bedding.

I'm so happy I found others who do this -- DH calls me NUTS! :confused3 I've been bringing our kids pillow cases for YEARS! We usually take them off in the morning and leave them on the suitcases just to be safe. I'm sure mousekeeping would realize that they're not theirs, but I wouldn't want to deal with them being lost in the mounds of laundry at Disney!

I have to have my own pillow. I too do not like the hotel pillows. I pack mine in a space bag and take it everywhere. The space bags make it nice and compact and easy to pack.

At Por MouseKeeping just leaves them alone since we also like our own pillow cases. No notes were needed:)

I have brought my own pillow on every vacation-it is not about the case for me, it is the pillow. I feather-like pillows and other hotel pillows. Mine is a foam one. I have never given it a thought -it stays on the bed(I just don't use a white case like hotels do) and I have never lost it or had it taken by . On my honeymoon, I forgot my pillow and the resort MAILED the whole pillow and case still on it, back to me! I did call them on the way home about finding it since I had left it.(it was in Destin, not in Disney)

We have also used the space bags. We used them for a trip to Chicago, knowing we'd be using lots of public transportation and wanted as few suitcases as possible. I have not used the bags for WDW since we drive and when we went to DL a few weeks ago, I forgot to pack my pillow:eek: -but thankfully the Hiltons' pillows were decent:cool2: . (We are generally used to Holiday inn's and Hampton Inn style hotels)

I would tell you-Hakuna Matata-bring your pillow!

I made Disney pillow cases for our Grand Gathering group this past November. Mousekeeping left them alone.
