My DH liked it. The kids and I didn't like it so much, but I think we were just hot and tired that day. My son kept wanting someone to pick him up (he is 6) so that kept getting on my nerves a little. Since we have been home though, my son keeps talking about the silly guy at the pirate museum, so he must have enjoyed it.

What types of things were at the museum? Would a 12 1/2 girl like it? (We loved the Pirates movie.)

thanks,
d

I personally wished we had skipped it and just went back to the ship. The tour guide was kind of funny. He basically just kind of told the history of Pirates in Nassau. There were some pirate mannequins and ship artifacts. Like I said though, we were hot and tired and I had a whiny 6 year old, so I didn't even get to hear all of the tour. They do have a website I think it is piratesofnassau.com

thank you for sharing your photos, they were great. Kids are too cute, especially their sad faces. I know exactly how they felt, I hate leaving Disney too. I was wondering about your cabin. We are in the Cat9's on deck 2, can you tell me how you liked your room? I am going to be with 3 kids and was wondering about having enough space. Also was wondering how difficult it was to get around the ship from down there. Thanks again. K

We're doing the land/sea in November. What other shore excursions did you do? Did you do a tour on Nassau or just walk yourselves?

Great pics! Thanx!

I loved your pics, it looks like you had so much fun. I can't wait to go... By the way your kids are adorable princess: pirate:

Our cabin was a cat 9 on deck 2 aft (as far aft as you can be). I thought the size of the room was fine. We really weren't in there very much at all. Having the split bath was great. The kids loved the bed in the ceiling. It was nice having the divider curtain between their sleeping area and ours. I liked deck 2 our room was pretty noisy though with engine noise. The only time I really heard it was when we were going into port. It was very loud then. Two of the nights there was also some really loud music from it sounded like above us. I never could figure out where that was coming from. Aft was nice because you could run up and down the stairs to the restaurants and the elevators never seemed busy. Next time we go I think I would still like to be aft, but maybe a couple of floors up. Hope this helped.

We didn't do any excursions, we just walked around on our own. A friend of mine who did a cruise that went to Nassau (not Disney) said that she went to Blue Lagoon and it was beautiful. That might be fun.

WE did the Blue Lagoon swim w/ dolphins and LOVED it. there are 2 different excursions (you can google their webpage and see them) we did the actual swimming one, not the one on the platform, although we are planning to do the platform with my 3 & 5 year olds this time around. It was wonderful. Hope this helps. Oh and bring water cameras, they allow you to bring them in the water with you. Also there is a place on the dock where you can leave a video camera fo rhte part where the dolphins push you across the lagoon.
