O.k. so we just posted our Disney countdown in the hall of our home since we are about to hit the 100 day mark and.......that made me curious. What do your coundowns look like????

Here's a pic of ours....

Simple I know but this mom is not all that creative. We did have a Toodles up for a little while but it looked too much like Shrek!!!!!

I've always gotten my Mickey HEads elsewhere. Last year I asked on here and a very kind person sent me 100 Mickey Heads FOR FREE. This year, I looked on Etsy and bought some that I THOUGHT were the same size as last year's but they are a good bit smaller which worked just fine for us. Maybe you could do a search for it. Ours only cost me about $4.00 with cost and shipping.

Aw, those are sweet! We just have a Disney calendar from the $1 spot at Target that I wrote the countdown on....every day after dinner my youngest gets to mark the day off. Nothing that creative!

We went this year in January. My kids reset their Christmas countdown calendar after Christmas and re-counted down to Disney!

We're still six months away, so we're just using a calendar and covering each day with stickers. My DD11 uses Disney Princess stickers, while DS4 uses Cars stickers. This picture is from a few weeks ago. We have our departure date (8/19) marked with a fireworks sticker!

After reading this thread, I feel like we're severely lacking in the creativity department!

Ours looks a little raggedy compared to the rest of these, but we like it .

The days are post its, which we did in alternating colors - DD got to take off the yellow, DS got to take off the blue - helped avoid the fighting!!

Here is the one we made last year. Im waiting for our 99th day out so I can use it again

It is made from a 5 x 7 acrylic picture frame. DH drilled 2 holes in the top (when it was turned sideways) and I got 2 large loops. We cut cardstock into even pieces and glued home depot paint chips on them and added scrapbooking stickers and cut outs on the dates. We just flip one number over each day.

I can't take credit for this one, but I am using it when we get to 4 weeks (28 days) - we are at 34 now! My son has a stuffed Mickey that he loves from our trip last year. I plan to hide Mickey each of the last 28 days around the house. He will be holding 1 or 2 quarters and pennies that my son can collect for the pressed penny machines. If I manage to get to it, I will also print out messages from Mickey with general greetings and/ or ideas for things to do on our trip.

Here's ours a few months ago...

Here's the same chain from this past Saturday!!

Today it only has 3 little rings left!!!

Inside each ring is something to do or something to talk about relating to the trip. The earlier rings had things like watch a Disney movie, who is your favorite princess, what is your favorite ride, snack, park, etc. The ones we are opening now say things like do laundry for trip, lay our clothes, wash car, etc. It has been a lot of fun to have our little Disney pow wow talks every evening over dinner. It's so awesome to see the 3 little rings that are left and remember how far across my kitchen that chain used to go.

I tried to keep the characters in A-Z order, but I had to make some executive decisions, like putting princes under "P," Captain Hook under "C" instead of "H," etc.
