Thank you so much to all of you for all the tips and help. Here some pics of our Mickey Lamp.

I don't have pictures of the pole assembling because DH did it at work.

The space from the center of the big globe to each ear is 3 1/4 in.

Thank you.

DH did too, it had a small crack but he fix it with the glue.

Ditto! I used a power drill the first time, and busted it all to pieces. The next timeI used to cordless on a slower setting, and had no problems.

He used this round thing a saw i guess, on his cordless drill, I don't know about tools, but he was pushing to hard and it cracked, then o the other ear he was more careful and it was fine.

Did he use a Dremel? My dad assembled the light post, but didn't want to attempt to do the globes...so I have everything here and I'm trying how to figure out how to make the holes for the ear globes...Any suggestions? I need to get it finished for the GG this weekend.

If you don't get it done, I have my dremel here and we can finish it at the GG. I actually have to finish my new globe because I was ill and just brought the parts with me.

Don't do like my husband and trip and fall out of the TT. Broke it before we ever set it up. We had to hide the crack in the back. Good thing we want bigger globes anyways.

I can bring my hole saw and cut them for you. I had to replace mine as well because the big globe broke when my DD knocked it over. I have the white silicone as well. I'm already going to be playing mechanic on your husbands truck so why not do this too. Any other projects from the Gator compound? Should I bring Tony Stewart?

I broke mine and used a silicone to repair it and when it got hot it turned an ikky brown...now I want new globes and can't find any...anyone have good luck in finding a supplier...HD and Lowes aren't carrying them anymore in our area!

Hole saw is much, mch easier than a dremel. The hole saw shoulc be big enough so that the small globe opening fits in the hole saw. I cannot remember what size that is but it like 3 1/2 or 4" inch hole saw. You just need to be patient and gentle while cutting.

Mark your holes, 5 1/2 inches from center on each side and pre drill them with a small drill bit first. This will make for better accuracy when using the hole saw.

I also used clear silicone and placed a bead around the opening of one hole on the big globe and then placed one ear in the hole. I then let it cure and then placed more silicone around the globes to finish it and give it a better bond. Let it cure again and then you can work on the other ear.

You better hurry up. Times a gettin' close.:thumbsup2

Hi, he used something he called circular saw. I don't know much about tools, he does :confused3 It's a circular orange saw that he attached to his cordless drill.

Oh we got ours at home depot, but I think you can order the globes online as well.

Yes, he got that hole saw thing at home depot and it was the perfect size for the ears.
On the first one he was pushing just a little and it cracked, then on the second one he was more gentle and it worked fine.

That looks great!

The first night I fired ours up in the "dark as pitch" state park, you'd thought there was a movie premier.... 75w may have been a bit much. I switched to a tiny fluorescent bulb to cut down on the light and the heat. Also, learned that 1/2 a bag of Sakcrete was more than enough for the base
