Pictures of London, anyone? :) (up to day 11, post 1 -- Roman stuff & Glouc. Cathedr)

Excellent photos :sunny:

My DH's family live very near Stratford, so I recognise all the places you've photographed - you've got it looking very pretty!

Hey Tammi :)

Day, pic 14 ( titled as "neat Building in Oxford") is Balliol, one of Oxford's University colleges. Founded in 1263, Balliol claims to be the oldest college in the Uni but 2 other colleges dispute that!!

Thank you, Shirley! I'll go update the caption on that pic. :D

This thread has passed me by before, but it caught my eye today as I'm from Gloucester. Lovely pictures of the cathedral. I can't see any of Prinknash Abbey, though

Also, I've spent many a happy hour in the Snooty Fox in Tetbury. In fact, we had a DIS Meet there a couple of years ago organised by the infamous Kevin Stringer of those parts and his long-suffering wife (and your namesake), Tam.

Oh, meant to say that I'll think you'll find that the 'lilac' is actually wisteria - we've got a couple in our garden and they've been beautiful this year. We've had them about 6 years, but this is the first that they've flowered properly. When they're really mature, they can cover entire buildings.

Here is a photo of the Old Bell Hotel in Malmesbury (a few miles from Tetbury).
