Pictures in Magic Kingdom

From browsing the videos and such it seems like some people have private pictures done in Magic Kingdom but don't have their wedding/reception there. Is this true? And how does it work, if you have done it? I would love to have pictures taken at the Magic Kingdom without the million other tourists there...

From my understanding you have to have a Disney wedding to have a Bridal Portrain Session at the MK.

To answer your second question, you can have a private photo session before the park opens. I'm having mine at Epcot, we were quoted around $700. I know the MK one is more expensive, but I don't remember how much.

i had a portrait session done in MK and it costed $725. well worth it. the pictures came out beatifully. if you want them on a CD, for a low resolution, it's only purpose is to email pictures to friends or relatives, it'll cost $75. for the high resolution, it's $1,000.

Tinkerbela--Is that 750 for low res and $1000 for high res?

And...if you have to do it really early morning--did you do it the day of your wedding? Or a different day? I'm thinking of an afternoon ceremony--so it wouldn't be awful...but I also can't imagine anything worse than waking up at 5 am on my wedding day;-)

You can choose the day, as long as it is available. Some people have it done same day, next day or even further out. I had mine done the next day (call me crazy), but my bouquet was still beautiful.

It's $750 for the session (actually I think it might be more now) and $75 for the low-res CD and $1000 for the hi-res CD. Think of the hi-res CD as your negatives. You also get prints of all your pics and a cute 12 picture album.

We did ours a few days after the wedding, it was one of the things I most wanted for my wedding and I don't regret it at all!

This was one of my favorite things to do during our wedding trip. We did ours the morning after the wedding. Yes it was tough getting up and ready for a 6:00 am pick up but I did my own hair and makeup so I didn't need to be up at 4:00 am like you do when Disney cosmo takes care of you.

Remember if you do pictures the morning before the wedding your dress may get dirty on the wet pavement. You'll need to be extra careful carrying the train of your dress.

Just a little FYI on the Magic Kingdom photo shoot!! We are having our wedding 10/18/05 and we tried booking our MK photo shoot the day after and the date is already taken. So we have ours booked for the 10/20/05. Whenever you decide on your date, I would call ASAP because they only do ONE couple a day!! AND you've seen everyone's MK photo shoot pics on here and the pictures are AMAZING!! So don't miss out!! I am glad I'm not!!

Thank you all for your help!! I'm sorry to sound so dense...but it is $750ish for the session--and no pictures? If I want pictures I either get the $75 (seemingly useless) cd or $1000 high res cd?? I feel like such an ugly stepsister because I desperately want to do this Disney wedding with like 100 people and yet I'm on a fairly tight budget (at least from disney standards)...

The $750 (or whatever the price is for 2005) includes the album with 12 pics (of Disney's choice). It also includes ALL the proofs that Disney takes. It does not include the cd of pics though. Sounds like that is extra.

I didn't want to get up at that hour to get the pics done, but I must tell you that they are AMAZING and where else can you get those type of pics?

You can of course always order additional prints from DPS of any pictures taken there. All of our prints came out beautifully, about 1800 times prettier than seeing it on the computer screen.
