Pictures from the 1st MNSSHP Sept. 13

Wonderful pics, Kathy-as we've come to expect from you!

I was wondering what they would do to replace the Alice in Wonderland trail that went from Toontown to Tomorrowland and it looks like the Bre'r Rabbit one is it. Didn't see a lot of chocolate in those treats, but it's probably still way too hot to do that.

Love the Haunted Mansion section of the parade-to me the whole party is worth it just because of that.

Hope you guys had a great evening!

Awww, but it doesn't look like anybody dressed up!

There was some chocolate but not a lot. I thought the chocolate offerings were better this year.

Great pictures. Seeing them is making me get even more excited to go on Halloween. This is my first MNSSHP and I cannot wait!!!

I don't know if I could this early, and that's coming from a Halloween fanatic. The heat also might have had a lot to do with it, though I'm not sure if things are still in the 90's or not down there.

Photos look great! Thanks Kathy!

Kathy,

Is the party worth it?

I ask because for us to go as a family with small children (4 and 1), it would be around $300 for about 5 hours 4pm-9pm.

We don't think it is worth that kind of money, but I want to know your thoughts.

Thanks. :)

Nothing like putting me on the spot. After last night I think my answer is save your money. Since your kids are so young I would think they would fall asleep early and you would be paying a premium for being in the park.

I really think they need to add something to this party. We managed to hit all the candy stations in an hour and 15 mins. We can ride the rides anyday so that wasn't our first priority.

I think until Fantasyland reopens you are getting your monies worth.

Just my opinion.

They were pretty stingy with the candy.

You can always ask for more that what we do and they always give us more or if we see something we like we ask nicely and they give it to us without a problem. They have them all over the park so they proberly think that you get more so why give you a lot at each one.

At one place a cast member said you already got something when a person I was with went to the second bin. I don't think you should have to ask for more. They were giving out less than in years past.

The cm shouldn't of said that they should just give you something you paid to get in so they can't limit your candy. It sounds like these was new cms to the party and didn't understand that guest are paying a lot of money so don't cheap out on the candy. Did you happen to notice if they gave more to kids or people with kids i seen that in the past.

Well you took a lot of great pictures of the event thanks for sharing with us.

Was Captain Hook present? He's my favorite Disney character and I pretty much picked next week for my trip because it's the only time of year I have a shot at meeting the not so good Captain.

The pictures are great. I'll be there next week and still haven't decided which party to go to. It's just me so I'm keeping it flexible depending on the weather.

I noticed some nestle crunch in one candy bin. Yum. I don't need much candy since I'm going solo and flying there.

I'm more interested in the parade, fireworks and villians show this time. Did the villians leave the stage afterwards for meet and greets? I'm hoping to get someone in line to take pity on this solo gal and take my picture with a couple of villians. LOL

It didn't look like many folks dressed up either. And was that a new Haunted Mansion Float? I don't remember that when I was there in 2008.

Thanks for the pictures and blog Kathy and Theresa.

I went to MNSSHP a few years ago and can't wait for this years. I think I'm going to the party on Tuesday Oct. 11th.

Thanks Kathy. That's what we were thinking too. I believe that when the new Fantasyland opens, this party will be pretty awesome!
