Visited the two parks with friends yesterday (actually, we visited three; we also stopped by Parc Asterix for an hour or two, which is about a half hour drive from Disneyland Paris; they have an amazing wooden rollercoaster, which is one of the best in the world, and we also did their TransDemonium-darkride, the Jungle Cruise-type Asterix-ride and their bobsleds). Crowds were manageable at all parks. Did Buzz Lightyear for the first time; actually liked this updated version much more than the Orlando-version. We hopped to the studios for some shopping and took a ride on Rock 'n Rollercoaster and did Cinemagique (which still is the beste attraction of the park).

Had lunch at Plaza Gardens, and did Pirates and Phantom Manor twice. Longest wait was the FastPass-line of Buzz, which for some reason or order was almost 25 minutes! All other lines were okay; Big Thunder was about 15 minutes, Autopia about 10 minutes (first time I did that one in three years), train from Fantasyland Station about 5 minutes, Pinnochio about 5 minutes. Was disappointed that the Mark Twain River Boat already closed at 7pm; would have loved to take the trip later at night, when it was dark.

Anyway, some pictures of the resort:

Wow that is realy up-to-date! Thank you for the great pictures! The ones from Autopia are the best!
Can you tell us how Emporium and the Disneyland Hotel look? What is covered?

Thank you! What wonderful photos!

We are moving from the USA to Belgium in two months. I had to cancel our December trip to WDW in Florida due to the move, and I have been heart broken ever since. I planned to take my son (who is 4 years old) and our new baby (who hasn't arrived yet!) to DLP, but I was worried that it just wouldn't have that Disney feel to it. I was so happy to see so many familiar things, as well as many new things to explore.

Thank you again for your photos. They really made my day!

Nice photos - getting very excited now - only a few hours to go - setting off at 5 am tomorrow for an early flight!

How was the weather - saw a few dark clouds on those pics - was it warm enough to walk round the parks without a jacket - DH is adamant he's wearing shorts no matter what.

obelisk, what lovely pictures :goodvibes and welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

pigby - have a fantastic trip! :wizard:

Tara - hope your move goes well. Although DLP is not the same as WDW it is just as special  and most definitely has the Disney magic! pixiedust:

Where in Belgium are you moving too?
My husband will be working at NATO headquarters in Brussels. A "sponsor" at NATO is helping locate a house to rent. As I am due with a baby in two weeks, we are hoping that we are able to secure housing prior to my husband's arrival (which will be in early July) so he can get have the house ready for when I show up with our 4 year old son and newborn.

We currently live only 4 hours drive from WDW, and are looking forward to several trips to DLP (as well as many other places within Europe!) while we are in Brussels.
