We always go to CM's for our first night, but this year we're changing it up a bit. I'm thinking of skipping the dinner and going for breakfast (less expensive and wasn't that impressed with what I got for what I paid last trip). Do they do the pictures before you are seated for breakfast like they do for the dinner. We've had these pictures made for the past 6 or 7 years and it's sort of a tradition now. Whether or not they do the pictures at breakfast could be the deal-breaker!

the last time i was at Chef Mickey's for breakfast, we checked in for our priority seating and then they took us over to stand behind the giant plate and took our picture! So that would be a yes, and the breakfast is so good and there are so many choices on the buffet - yum!!! :tink:

We went to Chef Mickey's this past October and what a great experience! Our boys were 6 and 2 1/2 and they had the best time! We went in and just before they seated us, they took us over to the big plate and "Snap". They then brought the package over during our meal for us to check out and buy what we wanted. This was great because there were not food stains on the kids shirts or katsup all over their faces!

By the way - the food was outstanding and oh so many choices! The atmosphere was fun and exciting as well. We went early (7:15 or 7:30 AM) on a day that the parks opened early so after breakfast we could hop on the monorail and head right for the Magic Kingdom. I know that we will certainly do it again with out a doubt and will reccomend it to anyone who goes to WDW. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

On a similar tangent...

Does anyone know if you can use PhotoPass for your pictures at Chef Mickey's (and other restaurants that do pictures)? I'm curious for our upcoming June trip. TIA! :cool1:

No photopass at CM as of two weeks ago.

Does anyone know of how much the picture is at Chef Mickey??? I think I read that they bring it to your table before you leave? Is It included in the meal price or is it extra??

I am trying to get an idea of how much money I need to have for the extra pictures at restaurants.

What all character meals do pictures like chef mickey? Is it just where you can take your own pictures with the characters or what??

We are going in June of this year. Our daughter will be 9 then. It is just myself, DH and DD. I am so ready to go. It has been since I was a teenager since I have been to WDW and they did not have all of this nice stuff then. LOL!!!!

TIA

We've done Chef Mickey's our last three trips and that's pretty much been our only character meals so I really can't speak to any other character meals. We did do the Pooh breakfast at the Crystal Palace back in 1997 and I don't remember any professional photographers back then but it may be different today.

I'll try to locate my picture receipt from last week (been home 4 days and we're still unpacking) to get you the exact price. I think it was somewhere around $14 for a single 5x7 and $29 for the whole package which was something like 1 8x10, 2 5x7, 4 wallets, and a magnet.

They do develop the picture, print a whole package up, and bring it right to your table. You can buy individual pieces or the whole thing. The one irritant for us: We were headed straight to a park from breakfast (as I'm sure many do) and they would not deliver the pictures to our resort which is what we have done with most of our purchases at WDW (they did say they could hold the pictures at Chef Mickey's and we could pick them up later in the day).

Please understand that the professional picture at Chef Mickey's is not with any character -- it's just your group in front of a giant dinner plate and behind a Chef Mickey's sign.

Any pictures with characters will need to be taken by someone in your group (or I guess you could hire a professional photographer to accompany you!).
