We’ve been to WDW many times but are headed to DL for the first time in 10 years. We always get our picture taken with Mickey at WDW - is there a similar opportunity at DL? If so, where do we go?

Thanks

There are 4 places. Mickey's house in TT, check the hours, it's not the full operating day. Mickey is in the rotation in TS and BVS, with BVS tending to have later hours. He's also a character at Surf's Up.

We met him today right inside the park entrance to Disneyland. It was at precisely 12:45, however the app did have that time listed. We also met him as Sorcerer in Toontown.

Mickey is super easy to meet. Easiest is at DCA on Buena Vista Steeet. He is always out there and lines are usually no more than 10 deep. He is wearing 1920s style clothes there.

In Toontown it's always Sorcerer Mickey.

On Main Street in Town Square is the regular Mickey. His lines are usually pretty long.

You won't have a hard time getting a pic with the Mouse. All have Photopass photographers and you will get a minute or two to pose, hug, get an autograph. People here are pretty laid back...no one is pushy or rushes you.

In ToonTown - is it more of a posed picture?

Also, saw your name - I’m a Husker Grad!

Not sure what you mean by posed. You go visit Mickey's house. The whole thing is a very elaborate queue in which you can check out his house and play around with a few things. When you're done with that you walk to the back through a garden and end up at Mickey's Movie barn. There is an actual queue there with some old Mickey cartoons playing. A CM at the end sends several groups at once into one of several rooms to meet Mickey. Mickey will pose for pictures.

Also, if you go right at the time Toon Town opens (1 hour after regular park opening), Mickey comes to the front of Toon Town for a little ceremony. At that time he walks into Toon Town holding the hands of some youngsters. He goes to his house and meets on his porch with a handler, but no photo pass photographer. He does that for at least half an hour before moving to his movie barn for the official M&G.

In Toontown it's always Sorcerer Mickey.

This is not true. There are three or four rooms at Mickey's Movie barn and each is themed to a different Mickey. We've never met him, but Steamboat Willie even M&Gs. My friends met him. We've seen Sorcerer Mickey and a more casual Mickey, both on multiple occasions.

He's in the rotation on BVS, he's out every 2nd or 3rd rotation, depending on how many character are meeting that day. There are 4 possibilities at the TT greet, but it does seem like Sorcerer Mickey and classic Mickey are options every day and the other 2 less so. In TS it's classic Mickey unless it's a themed year or holiday. He has a different outfit for the 60th, and will again for Halloween and Christmas. Maybe I'm mis-remembering, but for Halloween this year they wore classic outfits in the morning and then switched to Halloween outfits after a few rotations.
