dw went to image works website, but couldn't find release for reprints. does anyone know where to look on the site for the form we need?

BTW...for those of you thinking about Christmas cards...I battled whether to pay the expensive amount for Christmas cards on the ship...decided against it, used the release shown above, used a photo I did buy from Shutters to get Christmas cards made at Sams Club. Saved Big $$$$$$$ :cool1: :Pinkbounc

Be careful when trying to use that release form. I printed it out and took it with me to Target so I could make a couple of 5x7s of one of the formal pics, and they wouldn't accept it. The woman said that it had to have a signature on it and since mine didn't, she wouldn't accept it. I went back home, signed it and returned the next day and they still gave me a hard time. I left there, went to Walmart and made my copies there. They never even asked me to see the release even though I was prepared. I don't know what the problem is with Target, but they seem to want to give people a hard time lately.

They use a machine at Sam's Club to make a copy from the 8x10 I bought at Shutters and then using that copy to make the Christmas cards...Quality is great!

tawasdave- thanks for your info. I guess I'll do that then for my cruise next summer. I really wanted to use one of the pictures the photographers will take (assuming I'll have at least one good one)....but didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for the X-mas cards. I'll do just what you did. :cool1:

We had a "formal" DCL picture made into Christmas cards last year at Walmart. They turned out WONDERful! I think when everything was said and done, it was about $30.00 for 75 of them.

we had wallets made from our 8x10 at animal kingdom last year at costco at $.10 a piece and they bturned out great. a photog friend of mine set them up on cd for me, he didn't hassle me about the release, and since he was a regular customer at costco for his business, they didn't say anything, but he did mention it, so for this year i just wanted to have one on hand. we're doing the same wallet thing with a cruise pic to send in christmas cards. he even put a greeting on it. pretty cool.

Do you need a release for each picture? We bought 10. I want to make a scrapbook for my mother and son and need copies of these. I also don't want the 6x8 size because their albums are going to be 7x7.

Thanks.

Mindi

Our local Walgreens accepted it..........We DID but 100 christmas cards from shutters (3rd year in a row). They are the talk of the family get togethers.

I scanned my photos at a high resolution before I framed and hung them up, and burned them to cd...has anyone taken images on a cd in to have copies made? Did you have any problems doing this? I don't want to take them off the wall and out of the frames to have them do what I have already done. I'm a little worried that the file size may be too large.

I printed out the photo release forms just to be prepared for any copyright issues.

I just purchased our christmas cards from Shutters on the 12/04 Western and did not think that $60 for 100 cards was expensive.

i did mine at sams 100 cards for $24.95 and used my DCL formal night photo. i was also glad that i didn't buy it on the ship. i thought the designs on those cards were too busy. it takes away from the picture that you want people to see. i found myself staring the cute mickey/goofy/sand snowman. i didn't want others to do that to mine.

as with target's policy, they have gotten pretty anal about alot of things in the past several years. go with sams!
