Picture Problem

Im sorry but nobody at the tech board has asnwered me yet... I want to put a pic into my profile its a bitmap and is 1.19 MB. How do i go about doing this? Thanks for any help.

Hey Steve,

Do you have a website to post it too? You need one of those first.

Also, it is way too big to use as a sig.

Last I heard, it was more like 30K as the limit. Check the tech board for the actually size (there was a link in the past).

If you need help resizing, just let me know.

well it looks like i cant put a bitmap onto geocities (the page builder i use) so i cant put it onto my web site. Any otehr ideas? sorry if im a pain lol

i encountered a problem ill work on it tonight and give you a PM when i finally get the page working. After filling out the information it said i had an error W301. Ill see whats up with that. Talk to you soon i hope. Thanks for all your help. Dont forget to check your PM.

Do you have an image editor on your computer to convert your picture to .jpg or .gif? Right now, it's way too big, as the DIS guidelines only allow 30Kb max to put in your signature.

guidelines are:
No more than 30Kb total
No more than 2 cliparts
No bigger than 200x200

If you save your pic for "use on web" you might be able to reduce the byte size enough - if not, you cannot put it in your profile for signature.

Also, wdwinfo no longer hosts free websites, so you'll have to find a website to put your pics up on. Some people use Worldzone.net.

Somehow, I think it's a good thing that I do not understand the "newspapers" comment.
