picture packages at dolphin encounter

I have some questions about the picture packages at the dolphin encounter in Nassau. I have read some good things and not so good things. I'm hoping someone will share their thoughts on this and let me know what they think. I know it is expensive but is it worth it? Are the pictures good? Thanks everyone

We did the dolphin swim in Sept. 04. The pictures turned out really good. The video offered for sale was expensive and wasn't really that good-IMO. we passed on the video and bought a "picture package". I thought they were worth the money.

Kitchenfairy...We are going on this same excursion in June. There website states $50 for the vidoe and $119 for the picture scrapbook. I have read on different threads here that both are really good. But I think you have to tell them beforehand if you want the picture scrapbook so they get lots of pics of you and your family. Hope this helps!

We did this last June. The pictures were GREAT!!!But very expensive. It was very hard to choose which ones to buy since we did not do the "scrapbook". the colors are vibrant and the images are crisp. The photograhper snapped the shot at just the right time. The will take a picture first with your entire family/group as the dolphin comes up and kisses one member on the check. we actually used this one for our christmas card, it was so good. Then they will take one a a picture as you each hug/kiss the dolphin. The video is taken of the entire tour group as each person has their turn. So only part of it is of your family. We did get the video because we just wanted to show everybody back home how awesome it was. My kids still watch it. We also had underwater camers with us and were able to take some candid and upclose shots of one another. Thsi worked well since the cameras have a loop that cna fit on your wrist so your hands are free.

It's on their website dolphinswim(dot)com it is under photo/video but you will need to scroll down to mid page. I had emailed them and asked about the scrapbook and it is the price listed.

They are expensive but how often do you can you do this? It was the highlight of our trip.

When you get there you will have a short presentation and at the end someone from the photo/video dept. will come and tell you a little about the videos and the pictures. Actually, the scrapbook is the only thing that you do have to order before you get in the water. Everything else can be decided upon after your encounter. You will be able to watch your group's video as well. I didn't think that I would want one based on the one that they were showing during the presentation, but it turned out to be awesome. They also have 3 or 4 different picture packages, so you don't have to buy just the scrapbook.
