As the Magic was trying to hurry away from Hurricane Jeanne, we experience rough seas (I was sick in bed all day). DH was able to get out and about and he got this picture of the pool (which was closed). See how the water is slashing out of it. I wished I could have seen it for myself.

This was all from the ship rocking! Isn't that something!

Here is a link to our ablum of pictures if you would like to see all of them:

Hoping we have smooth waters for our December cruise!

OH MY!!!!!!!! We were on the August 28th Magic cruise, we hit some rough waves on our way back to Florida after Hurricane Frances, but NOTHING like that!! We were in the pool on the second to last day and the adult pool was definitely a "wave pool" but WOW, nothing like that picture!!! I'm glad your husband got that shot, I never would've expected to see something like that! Sorry you were feeling ill.. No wonder, with waves like that!

Cool! I would love to have been able to swim in it! I love the quiet cove pool. We hit rough water (though nothing that) coming out of St. Thomas Jan 03 and it was soooo much fun in that pool...........wishing I could back tomorrow.......sometime soon I hope :genie:

Yes, that brings back memories. The Goofy pool was the most amazing to me with the water splashing up about the same amount over the deck. After explaining to friends that the actual water level should be 2-3 feet below the deck made their eyes widen.

Great pictures - thanks for sharing! We sail the day before you in December so if you are in town the day before head on over to Grills and we'll wave at you as we leave. Whenever we go on the Wonder we love going over to Grills to watch the Magic leave. It is a great way to get in the mood!

Actually, we will be at the Boardwalk the day before hopping between Epcot and MGM. I can't wait to see the ship all decorated!

Great pics, thanks for sharing them! I have a question for you, the lanyards that you and your DD's are wearing, where did you get those? And did you seperately buy the clear sleeves to hold your cards and then attach them to the lanyard? I'll be going in a few weeks and DD may be allowed in & out of kids club so she'll need to wear her card. Thankyou

Well if you aren't staying at the port I can't think of any place better than Boardwalk - enjoy!

Wow!!! What a neat picture!! No wonder no one can swim in it!! Couple of years ago there was a hurricane about 200 miles away and cause the ship to rock and I was able to swim in the adult pool as the "wave pool"...Boy that was so much fun!!! OF course, i was the only family member in it since everyone else didn;'t felt too good...But later my DH did joined me after he felt better and love it too.....But it certainly wasn't like the one in the picture!!!

We bought those onboard a couple years ago, and they still sell them (but they are dark blue instead of white now--with the DCL Logo). Someone said they now cost $8, but I have read where people have bought them ahead of time at Walmart for $1. If you are going on the 7 night and you are a DVC member, they were giving them out for free at the DVC Gathering on the second day of our cruise (along with luggage tags and visors).

 Wow! That is an amazing picture of the pool! And may I say I enjoyed your entire album!!

Also- I got some clear sleeves for lanyards on ebay. They are clear with a little red Mickey head on the bottom corner and you can get them to open either horizontally or vertically. I think they were 4 for 4 bucks. I can't remember the seller, but it was a store and they had lots. Just do a search on Ebay for disney lanyard and you should find them.

Wow! That picture is amazing - no wonder you didn't feel well! Thanks for sharing your other pictures. We are leaving in 2 weeks for our first cruise and seeing pictures like yours make it more real. We're going on a Disney Cruise :bounce:

Great pictures. We're lucky that we don't get seasick. We love the rough seas. We had 1 day of rough seas on our 12-27-03 Eastern. Cast members said it was the roughest it had been for months, many of them were stumbling around at dinner. Nothing better to sleep in than a rocking boat.

Thanks! I like looking at the pictures (probably looked at them 5 times already).

I wish I didn't get sea sick. I have been on 5 cruises, and this was the absolute worse. A lot of the CMs were sick too. It was a rough day. I am SO glad when we got to calmer waters on Friday!

I just couldn't get over that picture of the pool. DH said that it wasn't even at its peak at that point. He said that it was actually splashing up to Deck 10!

Oh well, another adventure to remember.

WOW!! :earseek: I heard about the wave pools, but didn’t think they could get going like that!! Thanks for sharing the pool photos, a real eye opener.

Wow!! Thanks for sharing! I've never encounters rough seas (know on wood) so that's pretty scarey looking. I had to share the pic with DH!

Don't let that picture scare you. This is quite unusual. Hurricane Jeanne was less than 200 miles from us, we were headed back to PC.

They had to let us off on Friday night because they were closing the port! Otherwise, the captain would have gotten further from the rough seas. On Friday morning we were far enough away from it that things were back to normal and we could use the pool (before we had to get off the ship at 10:00 pm on Friday night to go to the Dolphin--got to bed about 1:00 am). This was the strangest cruise we have been on (this was our 5th Disney Cruise). Quite eventful! I am hoping Number 6 is less eventful.
