I am not sure how long this statue has been by the Jungle Cruise area. I saw it, it struck me as something I hadn't seen before (although it totally fit in its surroundings like it had been there forever). And then as soon as I took this photo, it came "alive" And yes, I did get a photo of it in it's alive phase too.

Here is the same statue in a photo taken just a few seconds after the photo I posted yesterday. What was funny about it is I took the previous photo, then looked down at my camera to check out the image on my camera, and while doing so I started hearing this strange noise. I looked up and saw this. I might have uttered a bad word on Disney property.

That has to be new in the Fall '13 rehab. I've never seen it nor seen any reference to it. But I know Jungle Cruise was closed in Sept. '13.

They have started a new game in Adventureland called A Pirates Adventure Treasures of the Seven Seas. The link takes you to a Disney Parks blog about the game that also features a photo of the entire statue that I just showed the top part of.
