Picture of the Day - Chatter Thread

IMAG0268b.jpg

I soooo wanted to get a pic of that last week and I kept forgetting!!! ARG!!!

We've seen that golf cart with the ears many times when we have been there. I think it's a full timer as we have seen it at a more permanent looking site across from us when we have been in the 1700 loop. Maybe the 1200 loop?

We have been to the fort several times over the last few years and I have seen that golf cart with the ears everytime. It belongs on a site where the people look like they live there. I can't recall the site number.

live there? Am I missing something?

We're pretty sure this person wasn't enoying the ride, as I suspect I noticed something chunky flying through the air too through the zoom right after I took this pic. :rotfl2: :rolleyes1

Haha! Another reason to stay out of the water!:rotfl:

You can say that again!!! :scared: I always seem to be the person catching someone being gross!!

You'd never catch me up there!!!

We spotted it parked across from Pioneer Hall.

One golf cart I forgot to get a pic of was a Hummer golf cart!!!
Wow did that baby move!!!

After getting back to the Fort late from MNSSHP I drove the golf cart back to the cabin. We were all really tired. I started to drive away from our parking spot near the Marina and forgot to turn left and ended up doing the circle near Trail's End to turn back around. Well this Hummer had followed me! :rotfl2: I guess they were really tired too!! So they were laughing and we said "see what ya get for tailgating!!". So we get back on the right path and are now behind another golf cart who also saw what happened and they were laughing too.
And the Hummer is still behind us. So now we're all in a line driving down Fort Wilderness Trail. Well the Hummer picks up speed and shows us what's really under the hood!!!!!! Passes us up easy. Then as it goes to pass the other golf cart ahead of us, that golf cart attempts to pull some Nascar bump and run manuver but the Hummer pulls ahead and takes off!!! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Lesson learned: Not all golf carts are created equal!!! ;)

Not literally live there, they are just long term campers ;)

Grumpy was being bad, we had to put him in timeout:

What month was this? From the looks of how bundled up your wife is, it looks like a Pennsylvania winter!!:goodvibes

lol, it was last November at the Fort. It got down to the low 30's that night, this was the night it snowed in Orlando.

We might not take the cold, but us Floridians can also walk through Animal Kingdom in the middle of summer when there is 100% humidity, and actually be comfortable ;)

Ahhh, you've got us there!! :rotfl: Although, I can stand a lot more humidity than the hubby can! If he could have his way....we'd live at the north pole!! He hates the hot. Actually, he's not all that happy about the weather next week....looks like it's going to be more humid than normal this time of year.

We ended the day at Trails End...literally.

That is too good. Ate most of his food too! Good job all around.

Bet he just fell into bed and deep slumber when he got back to the campsite.....

I like that part best...... the walk back to the campsite doing a Fireman's carry w/DS.....not so much..... (now where are the keys to that Golf Cart)

They are Floridians, they do that any time it gets below 60

This is true, being from Michigan originally I thought I could handle a cold day occasionally.....NOT, I was out of MI for only 3 years and had to go back for a funeral in October, It was brutally cold... probably only in the 40's or so but is felt like 10 below.

Fortunately in Florida the colds days are far and few, sometimes in the winter we use both the heat and AC in the same day:eek:

I was just thinking....hmm....30? That's not too bad! Get out the shorts! :lmao:

LOL, i was thinking the same thing. I dont even wear a coat unless it is below 30. Well yeah i am an old lady with hot flashes so i probably wont wear one at all this year. I had the air on today it was so hot.

When we first started going to WDW in 93 we walked around in shorts and t-shirts in the winter while the CM's were wearing winter coats, I remember we laughed about us being cold blooded Yankees.

I have some old pictures of the Fort and my stays there going back to 1979 once I figure out how to get pictures on here, and I get enough "credentials" to post apparently . Remember the Marshmellow Marsh Excursion? back in 1988 my then 15 y/o daughter (we were from IL then) was left a note by the captain of our canoe (remember how'd they'd call them captains on the ride?) on our van window and then she contacted him and they were madly in love for a while but his being in Georgia and her in IL, plus their ages, finally ended that. But oh what memories. I wish they still had Marshmellow Marsh to show my (new)DH who has (can you believe this??)NEVER... NEVER...been to the Fort much less WDW!!! oh myyyyyyyyy!! So much has changed even though I've been back lots since then but not to the Fort for some time... can't wait for November 2 to get here to check it out. We used to always stay in 1200 or 1300 because they were so nicely wooded and private back in the 80's and early 90's... not now from what I hear :(
