She is the best we got some pics with her last time we were there I will try and find them.

My kids want to know what kind of snake that is. They also would like your guarantee that it will be there when we are there in May/June so they can see it for themselves. :scared1: I, on the otherhand, would like your guarantee that it will NOT be there. Unless someone is gonna be there to give me mouth to mouth when I stop breathing!!!!

Standard old black snake. There are tons of them all over Florida. In fact those are the good snakes as they are supposed to fight off the nasty ones. To me they are all nasty!!

As far as I know it is just a black snake, non-venomous. If it makes you feel any better, he was far from any campsites, crossing the road between 1500 and 1400. I don't see lots of snakes at FW myself, so I recommend a rubber snake be introduced at some point during your stay.:rolleyes1

Well, they will be on the lookout then.

That is good to know. I will be in the 1500 loop and will wake the whole campground if I find a snake in my tent. :scared1:

The only good snake is a dead snake.

I couldn't agree more Jim.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who posts pics here. I use these as my wallpaper on my computer at work and change them about every week or two. No matter what kind of day I am having, seeing pics of the Fort always makes me feel better. You all take some great pics!!! :goodvibes

Awwwwww! Was this on the other side of the canal behind 300? I walked Brady out there every day when we were there last month and saw lots of deer on both sides.

When coming in main entrance, they were at the pond to your right every night around dusk.

Definitely a big plus in going earlier this year (Nov vs Dec) was that we weren't sweeping 2" of cypress needles off our site every day!
