Nikon D3000 with 18-55 lens... 460 special at Walmart dot com- is that good? What does "non VR" mean? Something to do with the lens I think.
Thanks,
Jud
Non VR is No Vibration Reduction, means if you shake you may get a blurry picture unless you use a tripod.
Both my Nikon Lenses are VR, I thought it was worth the $
Nikon 3000 is a nice DSLR....are you still looking? I thought you just got a new oly on ebay?

At this moment both the SP 550 and 590 UZ are sitting in their shipping boxes on my floor awaiting my opening them- been working on the house the last few days. Takes me a while to get to things these days. I have high hopes for these, for what they were intended for, but given that I have accepted the 500 dollar mark I was curious when I saw this 'special' though now I see Amazon has it for the same price with the VR lens. The test pictures look very good- but then again, no vid, and big. So back to that whole 'pocket camera' thing... you can't get the shot if the camera isn't with you!
Thanks for the info!
Jud
