My parents have returned and e-mailed the picture of the alligator in the canel at BC. If anyone wants me to e-mail it to them just send me an e-mail and I will send the picture to them. My e-mail address is tschultz@twmi.rr.com.

Thanks for the picture, he's kinda cute!!

Terry ...

If you send it to me I can post it so everyone can see it :).

We also saw the alligator on our trip two weeks ago and my husband thought it was fake. You should have seen him jump when he saw the trap with chicken in it and then the alligator move!!

Here's your gator! What a cutie !

This is the canel in front of Beach Club (The area you drive up to). The picture was taken on the bridge you would drive over. It is between the bridge you walk over to get to the buses and the bridge you drive over to check in a BC. My husband and childern saw it the day before a bit further down behind the bus stop area. He could easily walk up the small hill down to the canel. There is nothing stopping him at all.

Before we became members we were staying at CBR one summer and they had a huge alligator in the lake there. Some animal patrol group came out and were actually trying to fish him out. It was fun to watch. They were using the largest fishing rods I have ever seen. It took 1/2 a day but they finally got him. Everyone on the shore could see him swimming around and the crowd was having a great time trying to direct the guys in the boat to where the alligator was. Alligators are definitely at WDW, so be a bit careful getting to close to some of the lakes and ponds.

We did the fireworks/birthday cruise from BWV in August of 2000 and on the 'cruise' before the fireworks our guides took us 'gator watching'. I thought it was a joke, something to get the kids going. They were 'spotting' the shoreline between BWVs and MGM with a flashlight. I figured they were going to shine the light on a log or something just to get a 'eek' out of everyone. I guess they weren't kidding... :D :D :D

Last May we were leaving the handicap parking lot at MK, and there was a gator ambling across the parking lot. We had lots of fun for the rest of the trip, warning about the "MK parking attendant", and getting "gatored" instead of "booted" if we parked illegally :)
